Second-ranked Oak Park committed seven errors and did everythingbut gift wrap a 10-6 victory for Downers Grove North Tuesday.
Downers Grove North (6-5) took advantage of three Oak Parkerrors in the first inning to score five runs and hung on for thevictory.
Tim McClinton, Mark Evans and Mark Leveille each had RBI forDowners, but the story was Oak Park's defense, which was porous earlyand often.
"They helped us a lot," Downers Grove North coach Paul Fransonsaid. "They didn't play well. We did some things right and got somelucky breaks."
